We are a creative research space where science and art meet to explore the beauty, diversity, and complexity of meadows.
Welcome!
We are based in the Department of Biology at the University of Ottawa, ON, Canada. Our physical lab space, as well as most of the field research we do, occurs on the unceded, unsurrendered Territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.
Previously known as the Kharouba lab, the Meadow Mosaic is a safe, supportive, and welcoming space for all people. We value trust and respect. We aim to foster a lab culture that is inclusive and values diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We strive for each member of our lab to feel supported as their authentic self, and we aim to spread this value to our broader scientific community.

We define our impact based on outcomes and knowledge that is useful to conservation.
We collaborate by creating open and spaces to share ideas within and beyond academia.
We communicate our science to inspire and empower people to act and for the use of science in decision-making.
